PROJECT EXAMPLE

NEW OUTDOOR AREA, RETAINING AND FENCING DESIGN.
VANTAGE PLACE, OMOKOROA.

Peard Excavation was engaged to design and update our clients outdoor area. The bank was overgrown with flax and had issues with vermin. The intention was to increase the yard area whilst also stabilising the bank and making it easily accessible to manage planting and mowing. We provided a consultation service and detailed concept drawings to our clients. From there, we excavated and remove all overgrown planting and built a timber retaining wall and two wide stairways so the lower tier could be accessed with safety and ease. We sourced and used railway sleepers for the stairs. Once the walls were backfilled and area was filled with clean topsoil, our clients then planted the lower bank out themselves. This was achievable as we ensured it only had a 15 degree max slope to minimise slips and falls.
